June 17th Pop-Up FreeRange Playground

Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library, 3 Community Park Rd, Broomfield, CO 80020

Thank you for coming!

Thank you to everyone that came out to our pop-up adventure playground at the Broomfield Library. We had over 80 children engaging in child-led free play with fort building and destruction, automobile make believe, and some really inspiring multi-age collaboration.

Thank you also to Tracy Larson for capturing the day. Scroll down to see some selected photos, or view the entire album on Flickr.

Event Details

Bring your children aged 12 and under to our pop-up adventure playground at the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library in Broomfield from 10:00am – 12:00pm.

We’ll have a primary play area for supervised, child-led, parent-free play with repurposed and recycled materials for 5 – 12 year olds, as well as a dedicated space for parents to play with their youngest children (4 and under).

As a parent, you know your children and their comfort level. If you decide that your children need more support and want to stay with a parent, they are welcome to play in the little kid area under your supervision. FreeRange Playground will remain parent-free.

Please park in the library’s dedicated parking lot or on nearby streets.

For the Parents

Parents must check-in at the registration table before children can enter the space. By signing your child in, you will be agreeing to our liability waiver, and our photo/video release. We will have a first aid kit onsite should any scrapes or bruises occur.

Parents must remain on-site for the duration of their child’s play, but are free to visit nearby vendors and picnic sites. If we reach playground capacity, we will set up a rolling wait list to allow as many children to play as possible.

Thank you to Boyer’s Coffee for donating a Boulder Organic Coffee station. Bathrooms will be accessible throughout the event.
