August 26th Pop-Up FreeRange Playground

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Founders Green Park, 7601 E 29th Ave, Denver, CO 80238

Thank you for coming!

Thank you to everyone that came out to FreeRange Playground at MCA Stapleton’s showing of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We had lots of children come through the space, with a particular focus on building forts and then destroying them using PVC pipes.

Thank you to Andrew J Rodriguez for videoing the children during their play.

Thank you also to Tracy Larson for photographing the event. Scroll down to see some selected photos, or view the entire album on Flickr.

Event Details

Heading to Founder’s Green to watch MCA Stapleton’s showing of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Friday, August 26, 2016? Stop by a little earlier to snag your seats, and bring your children aged 5 to 12 to our pop-up adventure playground from 6:30 – 8:30pm. FreeRange Playground will be toward the back near the concessions tent, across from the slide.

We’ll have a play area for supervised, child-led, parent-free play with repurposed and recycled materials for 5 – 12 year olds. As a parent, you know your children and their comfort level. If you decide that your children need more support and want to stay with a parent, they are welcome to play on the nearby slide under your supervision. FreeRange Playground will remain parent-free.

For the Parents

Parents must check-in at the registration table before children can enter the space. By signing your child in, you will be agreeing to our liability waiver, and our photo/video release. We will have a first aid kit onsite should any scrapes or bruises occur.

Parents must remain on-site for the duration of their child’s play, but are free to visit nearby vendors and picnic sites. If we reach playground capacity, we will set up a rolling wait list to allow as many children to play as possible.
